I think what's happening here is great. I admire and support it 100%.There are lots of courageous and articulate people posting here. I am certainly in your debt. If only there were more effective ways to show to the loyal premies the moral decay of their beloved Maharaji. There seems to be no way to reach them. No way through the petrifaction of their cognition. (No way through the putrefaction I should say..)

Well, thats maybe too harsh. "Premies" and fraudulent master supply a classic cult dynamic - "idealism from the bottom up, authoritarianism from the top down." They should not be blamed, although some of the honchos are certainly despicable people, who like Hitler's inner circle, have found a context and an ostensible "cause" in which to hide their sadistic leanings.

But I think most devoted and dedicated "Premies" are where they are because of great hope and sincerity and earnest dedication. That they have been so cruelly used and deceived is a reality that many of them are ill-equiped to confront. They have my sincere sympathy.

Control and fear my friends. Thats what this game is all about. But like the born again/fundamentalist Christians, there is simply no way to have a rational conversation with people whose ability to think clearly has been so disasterously undermined.

Still, the existence of this forum is a wonderful thing. And is certainly available as a defiant resource for those "premies" who are begginning to glimpse the possibilites of another life - a life without the debiliitating shadow of the uber-guru darkening their vistas, and clouding their vision.

One of the very interesting things to me about the incidence of cults in the world today is that certain elements of cult thinking seem to be in evidence on a large range of other, seemingly unrelated theatres of thought and action. Well, for instance, some of the people so rabidly and uncritically in favor of Bush are the very ones his policies hurt the most. I mean, it defies logic. But maybe that's the very point. Logic implies the rigor and the responsibility of independant thought. How much easier to allow someone else to do the thinking for you. How enticing the fantasy of myth, the power of myth, the sense of destiny and divine providence.

As enticing and indeed intoxicating the abdication of personal responsibility can be, the results have always been bitter dissapointment and often tragedy - sometimes on a scale that beggars the imagination.

The problem with reaching premies - it seems to me - is that the mental disconfiguration has been in effect for too long. It seems that there is no way back. This troubles me greatly. But, I guess there is hope. Because people do continue to become disenchanted. And it is to the great credit of people posting here, and those who have had the courage and determination to make other resources available on the internet that seek to provide an alternate source of information about Prem Rawat, that there is support and encouragement for these lonely, brave souls.

Keep up the excellent and extraordinarily valuable work.
